JOYE B. BRESEMAN
Joye B. Breseman, 91, of Las Vegas, Nevada, passed away peacefully in her
home on October 10, 2021. Born April 30, 1930 in Rockford; to Frederick and
Lillian (Hedrick) Taylor. Graduate of West High School, 1948. Married James
Breseman on August 21, 1948 in Rockford, Illinois. They made Rockford their
home for 80 years raising 3 children. She was a wonderful mother devoting her
life to her family. She was greatly treasured by her children, grandchildren and
great grandchildren. She will be missed everyday. She was an avid reader and
retained all that knowledge. She was excellent at Jeopardy, cards, and crossword
puzzles; you always wanted to be on her team. The love she shared, the joy she
brought to her family will never be forgotten. She is survived by her daughter Jill
(Phil) Priola, son Jon (Janie) Breseman, and daughter-in-law Mary Jeanne
Breseman. Grandchildren Andrew (Aimie) Sommer, Kate (Dennis) Venhuis,
Daniel Breseman, Mary (Jonathan) Dannevik, Jeanna Breseman, Krystle Wagner,
Patrick (Fiancée Chloe Clark) Wagner, honorary granddaughter Ashley Nicholas.
Step Grandchildren Thomas (Sally) Priola and Lynn Priola. Great grandchildren
Nolan and Shane Dannevik, James English, Sophia Wagner, and Rhett Wagner.
Step grandchildren Margaret and Matthew Priola and Ava Carlson. Sister-in-law
Beverly Taylor and dear friends Marty and Judy Cederholm. Nephews Scott (Jean)
Taylor and Jeffrey Taylor. She was preceded in death by her husband Jim of 65
years, son Kim Breseman, brothers Donald Taylor and Timothy Taylor and sister
Faye (David) Doherty and her parents. Her ashes will be buried in a private
ceremony at Greenwood Cemetery, Rockford, Illinois.
