James Ray
RAY = James Augustus, a longtime resident of
Las Vegas, NV passed away peacefully on
April 29 2022 at the age of 66.
He is survived by his wife Cynthia Manlavi,
stepson Jolas, His sister Sandi, his brother
Roy (& Dawna), his brother in law Daron, his nephews Gary (& Dawna), Troy (& Krisha), his nieces Mandie (& Sean) and Nicole (& Jake), his great nephews, Tyler, Xavier, Damien, Phoenix, Anakin & Jameson, his great nieces Amber, Charlee & Weslee, uncle Bob, cousins Charles (& Laura) Elizabeth (& Frank), Robert (& Maria) and Alice and other extended family and countless friends.
He was predeceased by His father William & his mother Elizabeth his youngest sister Brenda and his aunt Betty.
Jim was a proud graduate of Drum major
training in Los Angeles CA. an served as the drum major at Sylmar Sr. High School.
Under his direction as the drum major, the marching band Sylmar Slobs won several trophies.
He went onto work in plastering and special elects for the movie studios.
He then went into the field of armed security and worked at many of the casinos in Las Vegas.
Jim helped open the Wynn in 2005. He retired from the Wynn.
While working at the various casinos he was awarded honors & trophies for his work and his attention to the customers safety.
He was also honored with a certificate for employee of the month.
Jim will be missed forever & remain in our hearts always. A ceremony and celebration of life will be planned in the fall. Date and location to be announced
