Caterina "Nina" Teresa Healy

September 15, 1955 ~ October 12, 2020 (age 65)

Obituary

Caterina “Nina” Teresa Healy was born September 15, 1955, in Florissant,
Missouri to parents Ray and Teresa Anderson.
She was number 6 of the 12 children
they both shared; a true
middle child.

As a young adult, Nina relocated to Texas and
California before finally settling down in Las
Vegas, Nevada.

She not only found her passion, but many great long-lasting friendships during her time as an

accounting manager for 7-Eleven for 30+ years.

Her greatest joy came a little later, in the form of her baby boy Anthony “Tony” Smith. Her heart

was finally fulfilled and what a vision it was to see those two together.

Nina was remarkable and as a cancer survivor wowed the world with her faith and strength.
No amount of chemotherapy could keep her down.
Surrounded by loved ones, she took her second

chance at life and shared everything she could.

Friendship was not hard to come by for Nina as a natural social butterfly.
She grew a community around her;
some of her favorite places being baseball games,
bowling lanes, church functions,

around a card table, and any store with a good deal.

Nina’s heart was one of a kind. She thought she could feed the world and tried her hardest to
everyday. Whether it was making lunches for the homeless, bringing treats to local public
servants, or dropping goodies off to neighbors and their families; she wanted to feed any and
everyone. Known for her baking skills she provided massive amounts of joy during the holidays
with her famous “Baby Pecan Pies” and “Cinnamon Bread” amongst other holiday favorites.
A true caretaker to all, she provided a second home to all who walked through her door.
There
was nothing too little she could give and nothing too big she couldn’t do.

She will be missed by many.

Nina is preceded in death by her parents Ray and Teresa Anderson,
her brother James Anderson, her sisters Mary Pat Roe, Lisa Poteet, and Janet Mettey.

Nina leaves to cherish her memory her son Anthony Smith, her daughter-in-law Milinda Smith;
her four beautiful grandchildren: Mia, Cole, Reese, and her latest soon to arrive, her siblings,
Joseph Anderson, John Anderson, Jerry Anderson, Jean O’Brien, Richard Anderson, Robert
Anderson, and Roger Anderson, all of whom gifted her many nieces, nephews, grand nieces
and grand nephews.
