Sidney Rudich

Sidney “Sid” Jeffrey Rudich passed away peacefully on March 29, 2025 in Las Vegas, NV. Sid was born in Chicago, IL to Eli Rudich and Gertrude Pasternak on September 25, 1939.

Sid was an eclectic entrepreneur, running an electrical company in Chicago until he had enough of the cold weather and decided to move his family to the bright lights of Las Vegas. He opened the Silver Spur Casino, was a car dealer, real estate broker, and loved to negotiate a deal. Sid was as sharp as they come, being an expert on many topics and remembering every detail. He was a generous father and cared deeply about his family. Sid loved a good joke, even though he generally laughed the hardest when he was the one telling it. He enjoyed pizza, Costco hot dogs, and Portillos Italian beef. His spirit lives on in the memories of shared meals, hearty laughs, and the many lives he touched along the way.

Sidney is preceded in death by his sisters Anne Forbes and Eleanor Jolcover, and his ex-wife Marilyn Rudich. He is survived by his sisters Carolyn Tecktiel and Charlene Rubin and his children Mathew Rudich, Sari Lopez, and Stacy Juillerat.
