Nobuko Wilburn

In Loving Memory of
Nobuko Wilburn

Beloved Mother and Wife,
was born on March 3, 1933 in
Chiba Ken, Japan,
passed away on September 15, 2019,
at the age of 86,
in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Nobuko was married to John M. Wilburn for over 50 years, who preceded her death. She  loved her Japanese food, gardening and crafts. She was a great supporter of her youngest daughter, Catherine, when she participated with the Special Olympics. She was a strong woman who grew up during the end of WWII and had many stories to tell of her childhood. She lived for over 50 years, in Oak Harbor, Washington, where she was able to grow her vegetables and fruit trees when the weather cooperated. She had a great sense of humor and could make you smile with just a mischievous wink.
The world is a sadder place without her in it.
She will be missed!

Nobuko was preceded in death by her parents, brother, sister, husband John, and daughter Catherine. She is survived by her family; sisters Take and Kyoko, of Japan, daughters Margie Zamora, Nancy Kerin (and husband John), of Las Vegas, Nevada, and son Jack Zamora (and wife Diana) of Carrollton, Virginia. Along with six grandchildren, 7 great-children and nieces and nephews.

An Open House celebration of life will be held
from 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. at the home of
Margie Zamora in Las Vegas, Nevada,
on October 5, 2019.
Her ashes will be laid to rest later this month at
Maple Leaf Cemetery,
next to her daughter Catherine in
Oak Harbor, Washington.
