Manolo Castillo Jose, better known as "Noli",or Kuya Noli to his younger siblings, passed away last Thursday after a painful battle with throat cancer.
From the day he was born up to his last day, he was blessed to have lived an active and giving life.
He was and will forever be remembered as a loving father, brother and a true friend. In a family of six brothers, I am the youngest and he was the second one.
We always fought, but Inay kept us in check. He was my bodyguard, always making sure I don't go astray, as is with the rest of my brothers.
When I joined the U.S Navy, Kuya Noli (with his skills in Judo and Karate) traveled all over until he settled in Las Vegas.
Throughout his ups and downs, he remained a true and loyal friend...and with a positive outlook in life.
We seldom see eye to eye, because he was always on the move.
Good thing Ashlee, his loving daughter kept us updated.
The last couple of months were painful and depressing, but you can't tell when you see Kuya.
He always has that uplifting smile and strength, like the last time we saw him.
He was at peace and knew it was his time to rest.
But just like before, no goodbyes, always watching over us, this life and the next life.
We love you and will miss you so much Kuya Noli.
Rest in peace.
