Born Jean Star Childs on April 30, 1946. She was our Beloved Mother, Grandmother, Auntie, Sister and Friend. She earned her Bachelor's Degree from UNLV and was the head start Director for over 30 years. She served on the National Head Start Boards under President Jimmy Carter and President Bill Clinton. She was a champion for women and education and was proud of the many women she helped go back to school through EOB and it's Non-Profit Programs. She was a soldier for democracy and was proud to work on local and national campaigns for candidates she believed in. She has left behind a legacy of love in 3 children, Zenja Rea Dunn, Niani Jean Cooper & Rashad Ali Dunn. Grandchildren Maliq Cooper & Malcolm Cooper. Twin Brother: Dean Grover Childs, Sister: Cathy Ann Norton. Nieces & Nephews: Craig Davis, Zakiya Norton & Jabari Norton, Mandisa Childs & Jonathan Rustin. Also, many cousins and extended family member in love.
